Corepoint® Material Properties
The brand name patented worldwide for corrosion-resistant and antimagnetic axles and pivots is Corepoint®. Axles and pivots are produced in sizes between 0.3mm and 1.6mm in diameter. Depending on the diameter, a degree of hardness between 750-850 Vickers is achieved.
Corrosion proof against nearly all acids except moderate to high corrosion by aqua regia (HCL + HNO3) 3:1, hydrofluoric acid (HF), caustic hydrate of soda (NAOH) and caustic potash (KOH) to 370°C, sulphuric above 50% over 60°C, bromine.
Applications: Measuring instruments including water meters, height gauges, medical devices and also micromotors. Due to lower manufacturing costs and short delivery times, the parts are ideally suited to replace and substitute hard metal axles and pivots.
